Alabama Chapter of the Project Management Institute received its Charter from the Project Management Institute in July, 2004. According to our Strategic Plan 2006, we exist “To promote and improve project management in the Montgomery area by providing professional development opportunities for chapter members and the local community.” Over these first seven years we have focused our energies primarily on improving the practice of project management through offering professional training at our monthly meetings and bi-annual seminars and through supporting the efforts of other organizations such as Auburn University Montgomery–TechnaCenter and our sister PMI Birmingham Chapter.

SOS Beagle Rescue,

Inc. was founded in New Jersey in 1991 by Linda Forrest. It is a non-profit, tax-exempt, all-volunteer organization, and was one of the first beagle rescues of its kind in the country. We now have chapters in New Jersey, Alabama, and Tennessee. We have assisted in finding loving homes for thousands of beagles, with over 1700 successful adoptions. We are not concerned with the number of beagles we adopt out every year, but the quality of the adoptions. We do our best to direct our limited resources to those areas of greatest need.
