Holston Habitat serves the Upper East Tennessee region including Kingsport, Johnson City, Elizabethton, Bristol TN/VA and Sullivan, Washington and Carter Counties. Families contribute sweat equity hours and attend homeowner education classes in preparation of becoming a homeowner themselves. By partnering with Holston Habitat, local churches, businesses and communities provide volunteers, funding and/or encouragement to these low income families. Homeownership provides a more stable environment for children and families thus improving relationships, academic performance and citizenship.
