Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust(KVPT) has been envolved in preserving the historical monuments of Kathmandu Valley. Unfortunately,development pressures are multiplying and threatened monuments far outpace available resources. In 2003 the Kathmandu Valley World Heritage Sites were included on the endangered list by UNESCO. Repair and restoration operations have initiated key training and research programs for our Nepalese team. The Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust is the only international non-government agency registered in the field of cultural heritage in Nepal. Conservation challenges are both philosophical and technical. |
